Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
HealthOrbit AI Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2035. This commitment covers a 90% absolute reduction in emissions from the organisation’s baseline and does not rely on carbon offsetting, tree planting or the purchase of carbon credits to meet the target.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions record the greenhouse gases produced by HealthOrbit AI before the introduction of emissions-reduction strategies and form the reference point against which future reductions are measured.

Additional details relating to baseline calculations
HealthOrbit AI had not previously undertaken a formal GHG Protocol-aligned assessment. In line with guidance for organisations measuring for the first time, the baseline and reporting year for this plan are both 2025.
HealthOrbit AI operates a remote-first delivery model with no owned or controlled premises requiring on-site fuel combustion or purchased electricity. Its registered address is not a staffed office. Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions are therefore confirmed as nil on this basis. Employee commuting is also confirmed as nil because the team works remotely.
Waste generated in operations and upstream and downstream transportation and distribution are not applicable because HealthOrbit AI has no physical premises and does not distribute physical goods. Business travel, calculated using UK Government DESNZ 2025 conversion factors, accounts for the reported Scope 3 emissions. The distance travelled is an internal estimate supplied by HealthOrbit AI; reconciliation against expense records is planned for the next update.

Emissions Reduction Targets
With a baseline established at 0.13 tCO2e for the 2025 reporting year, HealthOrbit AI will adopt quantified year-on-year carbon reduction targets in its next plan update. Progress will be published and reviewed at least annually in line with PPN 06/21.
Environmental Management Measures Already in Effect
- Remote-first delivery model: Implementation, training and support are delivered remotely by default, minimizing business travel and avoiding energy use associated with commercial premises.
- Cloud-only infrastructure: The HealthOrbit platform operates on AWS cloud infrastructure, with no company-owned or operated servers or data centres.
- Paperless by design: HealthOrbit’s clinical documentation products remove paper-based processes from clinical workflows, reflecting the company’s own paperless operating model.
Future Carbon Reduction Initiatives
- Reconcile the business-travel estimate against full expense records in the next annual update.
- Review and update this plan at least annually and within six months of the financial year end.
- Engage key suppliers and delivery partners to confirm they hold an environmental policy or Carbon Reduction Plan.
- Give preference, where feasible, to suppliers with recognized environmental accreditation or an equivalent published plan.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure energy efficiency using AWS sustainability reporting tools.
The initiatives above are proposed and remain subject to internal confirmation before implementation.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and the associated guidance and reporting standard. Emissions will be reported in accordance with the published standard, the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and applicable UK Government conversion factors. Scope 1 and Scope 2 will be reported in accordance with SECR requirements; the required Scope 3 subset will follow the published standard and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
The plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors or equivalent management body of HealthOrbit AI Ltd.
